Open Red Tulip

I just love how tulips open so wide they fold over on themselves. It was fun to paint. These were very hard to photograph because of the white background. The color is a bit washed out.

Three Red Tulips

Tulips are so much fun to paint. I am experimenting with colored grounds, this one being black. Please let me know what you think of it or any of my work by clicking on the comments area below or e-mailing.

Two Tulips SOLD

It feels good getting back to painting the little pieces. The painting of Felix stealing the cookie was a bit tight. I worked on it over a few days, allowing the painting to dry in between. When I work on these little one, I don’t have a lot of time to do them which forces me to work loose. I also find when I complete a painting in one sitting, working wet paint into wet paint, this helps keeps the paint strokes lose as well.
