Off the Spool

5 1/2 x 6"
oil on MDF board

Valentines Day is coming up so I thought it would be fun to paint something red. This one was a lot of fun because it came together so quickly. Lately it has been taking me at least 2 hours to do a little painting. It was refreshing just to lay paint down and have it effortlessly go where it was suppose to.

This is lovely! and technically superb with all those thin loops and spaces in between. I love your sketches and envy your ability to render in marker. I really REALLY like the way you post different mediums... like me! :o)

Thanks for the visit and encouraging comments!
I loved the idea of painting the ribbon because of the negative spaces the loops caused. I want to do more and larger ones.
